Position Summary

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for generating group and catering revenue through proactive sales efforts, strategic account management, and exceptional customer service. This individual will identify new business opportunities, cultivate existing client relationships, and maximize hotel revenue through creative selling strategies.

Success in this role requires a highly motivated hospitality sales professional with strong closing skills, market knowledge, and the ability to consistently exceed revenue goals while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Prospect, solicit, and secure new group business through outside sales calls, networking, and relationship building.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts while identifying opportunities for additional business.
  • Conduct hotel site tours and professionally present the hotel's meeting space, guestrooms, and amenities.
  • Negotiate contracts and ensure all business aligns with hotel revenue strategies and booking guidelines.
  • Manage group bookings from initial inquiry through turnover to operations for flawless execution.
  • Partner with hotel leadership and operational departments to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and local demand to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Participate in community organizations, networking events, and trade shows to increase hotel visibility.
  • Assist with sales promotions, blitzes, client events, and special marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate sales activity, account information, and forecasting within hotel sales systems.
  • Prepare timely reports and communicate progress toward revenue goals.
  • Represent Hotel Equities and the Hilton Garden Inn brand with professionalism and integrity at all times.
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is an experienced hotel sales professional who enjoys developing business, building lasting client relationships, and working in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications include:
  • Minimum 3+ years of hotel sales experience, preferably in group sales.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding hotel revenue goals.
  • Strong knowledge of group sales strategies and the hotel sales cycle.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Experience with hotel sales systems and CRM platforms; OPERA and CI/TY experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong understanding of local market trends and competitive analysis.
  • Outstanding communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to travel locally for outside sales appointments and occasionally overnight for business development or trade shows.
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.

  • Hilton brand experience preferred.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hyatt, IHG, or Wyndham brands is also highly valued.
