Senior Accountant for Hotel Development/Management Company

Sunridge Hotel Group, a leader in hospitality is seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant responsible for supporting the Corporate Accounting Manager from an overall financial, strategic and operational perspective along with direct responsibility for the accounting department's success and their day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Corporate Accounting Manager with oversight of accounting operations
  • Support and assist with Accounts Payable processes
  • Perform General Ledger transactions and month-end closing activities
  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Assist with preparation and filing of sales tax returns
  • Work closely with Hotel personnel to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Work with offsite accounting form on reconciliations and payroll entries
  • Assist with audits, tax-related requests, other compliance activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of information

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is preferred
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP
  • Team player attitude and ease in building business relationships with good negotiation and influencing skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous Property management experience
  • Experience using Sage Intacct.
  • Experience using Paychex and/or payroll software.
  • Experience with construction draws.
