JOB SUMMARY:
Reports to the Hotel Manager, and Hotel Director. Devote himself/herself to ensuring satisfaction to customers. Determine management, production and quality requirements by asking questions and listening. Attend company meetings as required. Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Counsels, guides, trains and instructs all employees working in the hotel area in their duties.
  • Confers with the sales/marketing department to ensure that the highest room occupancy rates are achieved.
  • Usually handles the critical day-to-day hotel functions, including employee schedules.
  • Maintains effective and efficient department procedures and controls, and ensures that all departments with the hotel operations are scheduled properly for maximum coverage during peak hours
  • Oversees the front desk computer system and coordinates any necessary modifications
  • Showing special recognition of frequent guests.
  • Maintains communication and cooperation with other shifts and departments to keep employees informed of all pertinent information, including sending out a daily newsletter to all employees.
  • Handles complaints from employees and guests in a prompt courteous manner.
  • Assists the Hotel Manager with operating forecasts and other required departmental reports

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must Have Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to effectively communicate with guests, team members, supervisors, and external organizations
  • Must be computer literate with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. AS400 is a plus. Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be self- motivated and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to see, speak clearly and listen carefully in order to communicate with hotel departments and external guests.
  • Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations. Must be twenty one (21) years of age or older.
  • Previous Manager experienced preferred.
  • Two (2) years of front office supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in most aspects of hotel operations is essential.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or the equivalent.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
  • Nevada Gaming Registration
