We are seeking a polished, welcoming, and service-oriented Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our members and their guests.
The Host/Hostess plays a critical role in creating a positive first impression and setting the tone for the entire dining experience. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, confident, and attentive to detail, with a genuine passion for hospitality.
This position requires someone who understands that in a private club, hospitality goes beyond seating a table, it is about recognizing members, anticipating their needs, and making them feel welcomed and valued every time they visit.

  • Warmly welcome members and their guests upon arrival with professionalism and genuine hospitality.
  • Recognize and greet members by name whenever possible.
  • Manage the flow of the dining room and coordinate seating to ensure a smooth and balanced service.

  • Maintain strong communication with Server assistants, servers, managers, and culinary team members.
  • Monitor table availability and coordinate timing between the front door, dining room, and service team.
  • Escort members and guests to their tables and provide menus as appropriate.
  • Communicate daily features, special events, and relevant dining information to members and guests.
  • Be knowledgeable about dining outlets, operating hours, reservations, events, and club activities.
  • Pay close attention to member preferences, special occasions, seating requests, and other details that enhance the guest experience.
  • Respond to member questions and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Handle concerns with grace and immediately involve management when appropriate.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and polished host stand and entrance area.
  • Assist the service team with appropriate side work and dining room preparation during slower periods.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor consistent with Quail Ridge standards.
  • Protect member privacy and maintain a high level of discretion at all times.
  • Follow all club policies, service standards, and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience in an upscale restaurant, fine dining establishment, private club, luxury hotel, or high-end hospitality environment preferred but not required
  • Previous hosting, guest relations, concierge, or front-of-house experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional, polished, warm, and approachable demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while remaining calm and composed.
  • Comfortable using reservation and seating management systems.
  • Ability to learn and confidently communicate club information, menus, events, and dining options.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to handle member requests with discretion.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

What We Value
At Quail Ridge, our Host/Hostess team sets the tone for the member experience. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:
Warmth - You make every member and guest feel genuinely welcomed.
Professionalism - You understand that the first impression matters.
Recognition - You make an effort to know our members and recognize their preferences.
Organization - You can manage reservations, seating, timing, and member requests with accuracy.
Anticipation - You look ahead and identify what members and guests may need before they ask.
Discretion - You understand the importance of privacy and professionalism in a private club environment.
Teamwork - You communicate effectively and work together with the entire Food & Beverage team.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal Quail Ridge Host/Hostess is the face of the dining experience. You are naturally welcoming, confident, organized, and comfortable engaging with members and their guests. You understand the difference between simply greeting someone and making someone feel recognized and valued.
You are attentive to the details, remembering a member's preferred table, recognizing a returning guest, communicating a special occasion to the service team, or simply knowing when someone needs assistance.
