Job description

  • Welcome guests to the venue
  • Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
  • Answers telephone address customers queries, processes and tracks reservations in Opentable according to established procedures
  • Escort guests to assigned dining tables
  • Seat guest guests based on guest preferences and balancing of customer flow in service stations.
  • Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their servers name.
  • Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness
  • Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
  • Maintain a clean reception area
  • Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
  • Control the volume of the restaurant and assure guests waiting are practicing social distance
  • Inspect and maintain daily menus to ensure quality, condition, and appearance while developing a complete working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials
  • Processes and handles all take-out/delivery food orders in accordance with established procedures
  • Other duties may be assigned by the department head
