Whether you work at our headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove (BGTC) in Asheville, North Carolina, Blue Ridge Broadcasting (BRB) in Asheville, North Carolina or a field office abroad, you are part of a team of committed Christians working together to reach people to the ends of the earth with the Gospel.

CHRISTIAN PURPOSE AND EXPECTATIONS:

All employees proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their employment, and thereby further BGEA’s religious mission.

Department Detail – The Food Services department seeks to provide a high-quality lunch for staff and their guests. Food Services seeks to do so while maintaining accountability to BGEA’s donors of good stewardship. Furthermore, this department services numerous breaks and in-house functions each week. It also prepares and serves food for special after-hours events. The goal of Food Services is to perform all of this while reflecting the love of Jesus to each guest as the opportunity to serve arises.

Job Summary – This is a seasonal position in support of our Christmas at the Library program, however, will allow for employment opportunity prior to the program beginning in December. This position will assist our guests while celebrating the Savior’s birth with family and friends through our dining services options. One which includes a traditional buffet-style Christmas Dinner experience within our beautiful dining space located directly behind the Billy Graham Library. Guests may also opt for dining within our Graham Brother’s Dairy Bar inside the Billy Graham Library. The Seasonal Guest Experience Dining Host Associate will assist guests with fulfilling orders, guest seating, preparation and sanitization of dining areas, replenishing of buffet items, and other tasks. The set schedule of this position will last for three weeks and including primarily working evenings and weekends.

Ministry Requirements

  • Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
  • Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
  • Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
  • Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Servers assist with preparing room for dining by setting out placemats and setting decorations, condiments, napkins, service plates and utensils
  • Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed, refilling pitchers and being alert to patron spills or other special needs in a timely manner
  • Performs basic cleaning tasks in between meals and in completion of meals as directed by Food Services Leads
  • Ensures that the Dairy Bar is stocked with product and food to effectively serve guests
  • Appropriately engages with guests to ensure a positive experience
  • Assists with food prep as directed by Kitchen Manager
