Field Day Brewing Co., the first and only brewery in North Liberty, IA, is seeking an experienced Hospitality Director to lead and elevate our taproom operations.

As the Hospitality Director of Field Day Brewing Co., you will be responsible for building systems that support exceptional guest experiences, strong team performance, and consistent operational execution. This role focuses on developing scalable hospitality standards that allow Field Day to grow beyond our current location and into future markets.

You will work closely with the Taproom leadership team, culinary leadership, brewery team, and executive leadership to ensure operations run efficiently while delivering a memorable and welcoming guest experience.

Field Day Brewing Co. is the first and only brewery in North Liberty, IA, excited to reframe and disrupt the traditional view of breweries by pairing exceptional hospitality with world class beer.

We have established ourselves as the premier lager brewery in Iowa while executing everything from hazy IPAs, bold barrel-aged stouts, to fruit forward sours. In addition to our craft beer program, we offer a full service restaurant with a menu prepared on site. The Hospitality Director is responsible for leading the guest experience strategy and taproom hospitality operations for Field Day Brewing Co. This role partners closely with leadership teams to strengthen service standards, improve operational systems, and support future company growth.

This position plays a key role in building scalable hospitality processes, developing leaders, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects the Field Day brand.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead day to day hospitality execution within the taproom environment
  • Build and improve systems that support consistency, efficiency, and guest satisfaction
  • Partner with taproom leadership to maintain strong service standards and accountability
  • Support hospitality focused initiatives that improve team performance and operational flow
  • Coach and develop FOH leaders and management teams
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and leadership development efforts
  • Monitor labor performance, guest feedback, and operational execution
  • Collaborate with brewery, culinary, and marketing teams to align guest experience initiatives
  • Oversee execution of events, promotions, and beer release experiences
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hospitality expectations throughout operations
  • Create and improve training materials, systems, and SOPs
  • Identify operational opportunities related to staffing, systems, and service execution
  • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute operational improvement ideas
  • Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws, safety standards, and company policies
  • Support additional operational needs as business demands evolve

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience within hospitality, restaurant, or brewery operations
  • Strong operational awareness and systems oriented mindset
  • Proven experience developing teams and leadership accountability
  • Comfortable in fast paced, high volume environments
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem solving abilities
  • Experience creating SOPs, training systems, or scalable operational processes preferred
  • Beer knowledge appreciated but not required
  • Ability to obtain I-PACT certification
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe certification within 30 days
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
