As an Associate Product Manager - Commercial Capabilities at IDeaS, you will help support the development and delivery of innovative capabilities within the IDeaS commercial platform. Working closely with Product Managers and cross-functional teams, you will contribute to solutions that help hospitality organizations improve commercial performance through data, analytics, workflow optimization, and technology.

This role is ideal for someone early in their product management career who is passionate about solving customer problems, learning how software products are built, and collaborating across teams to deliver value. You'll gain exposure to product strategy, customer discovery, agile development, and commercialization while helping bring new capabilities from concept to market.

What you’ll be doing...

Product Development & Execution
  • Assist in defining product requirements, user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support Product Managers in shaping and prioritizing product enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Quality Assurance teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Help maintain product backlogs and ensure requirements are clearly documented.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and product delivery activities.
Customer & Market Insights
  • Gather customer feedback through interviews, product demonstrations, surveys, and discovery sessions.
  • Research market trends, customer needs, and competitive solutions.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve user experiences and solve customer challenges.
  • Assist in validating ideas through customer feedback, pilot programs, and early‑adopter initiatives.
Commercial Platform Capabilities

Support the evolution of commercial platform capabilities, including areas such as:

  • Multi-property management
  • Portfolio performance management
  • Commercial intelligence and analytics
  • Business intelligence and reporting
  • AI-assisted decision support
  • Workflow automation
  • Revenue strategy management
  • Merchandising and ancillary revenue opportunities

  • Assist with internal communications, release readiness activities, and product documentation.
  • Help create user-focused materials that communicate product value and functionality.
  • Support product launch and adoption activities.
Product Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Track product usage, customer feedback, and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze data and customer insights to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Contribute recommendations that improve customer outcomes and product adoption.
  • Support ongoing product evolution based on customer and business needs.

What you’ll bring to us….

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in Product Management, Product Development, Business Analysis, Consulting, Analytics, Customer Success, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn product management principles and practices.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship or professional experience with SaaS, software, technology, hospitality, travel, or analytics products.
  • Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, or analyzing business needs.
  • Familiarity with agile product development methodologies.
  • Interest in analytics, forecasting, pricing, revenue management, AI, or commercial optimization.
  • Experience working directly with customers or customer-facing teams.
  • Exposure to hospitality, commercial operations, or revenue management concepts.
