Job description

This position supports the SRC Kids ministry by curating a welcoming and beautiful environment for every visitor, volunteer, and family.
REPORTS TO:
SRC Kids Ministry Director
TEAM MEMBERSHIP:
Children’s Ministry
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
● Assist in the execution of SRC Kids Programs.
● Welcoming, helping, and valuing every person who enters the SRC Kids Building.
● Oversee the SRC Kids lobby through maintaining and caring for all resources.
● Responsible for managing, scheduling, and overseeing performance of all Child Care Providers.
Specific Project Responsibility (includes but is not limited to):
● Implement and oversee the training, equipping, and scheduling of volunteers.
● Prepare all welcome areas (volunteer cafe, nursery, and lobby) for all SRC Kids programs.
● Regularly assessing the ministry of hospitality, in light of our vision.
● Connecting families/individuals to ministries and programs in the church by providing resources and                    information.
● Create/maintain monthly financial Child Care records.
● Schedule all Child Care Providers and maintain reservation forms for all ministry events.
Accomplishment of responsibilities will necessitate (but is not limited to):
● Must be present on Sunday’s prior to and during church services. Set-up and church time run from 8:00 am – 12:30 pm.
● In addition, may be asked to be present during special events, holidays, and all programs that offer child care.
● Must be present on campus to accomplish tasks during the week.
● The position allocates up to 22 hours a week, including Sundays. You will need to be flexible, as troubleshooting occurs when you are not in the office due to last minute cancellations. Calling/texting substitutes are required at unpredictable times.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
● Must be able to problem-solve and adjust to changing situations as needed.
● Strong interpersonal skills, including relating to people.
● Working knowledge of databases.
● Ability and desire to offer radical hospitality to all.
● Able to communicate effectively with diverse people.
● Excellent organizational and team coordination abilities.
● A pleasant, outgoing personality.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
SRC Membership is required. Involvement in the church community is essential. The job involves interfacing with parents, children, and volunteers. A strong ability to manage a room, volunteers, and parents, along with the ability to be flexible and improvisational is needed.
