Job description

Job Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Description

The Quality Assurance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining the food safety and quality assurance systems and controls within our plant. This position involves participation in various regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes, including SQF, HACCP, FSMA, HARPC, and process controls.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality assurance systems and controls in the plant.
  • Utilize systems such as TraceGains, SafeFood360, and SnapQC for QA testing and data management.
  • Conduct regulatory compliance activities, including pH and water testing.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of product labels in compliance with regulations.
Essential Skills
  • Strong knowledge of food science and quality assurance principles.
  • Experience with food safety regulations, including HACCP, FDA guidelines, and the Code of Federal Regulations (21 CFR Sections).
  • Proficiency in using cloud-based food safety and quality management systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in food science, nutrition, microbiology, biology, or a related field.
  • HACCP certification.
  • PCQI certification (preferred, but can be obtained while working).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the food industry, with a preference for bakery experience.
Work Environment

The position is based in a food manufacturing plant that is filled with the delightful aroma of freshly baked goods. The environment is dynamic, with a focus on maintaining high standards of food safety and quality assurance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
