Involved in complete recruitment process (sourcing, short listing, HR screening/interview, interview arrangements, salary negotiations, offer initiation, post-offer follow ups.)
Conducts initial interviews by phone to determine experience and skill level.
Ensure that resume appropriately reflects candidate's experience and requirement.
Arranges for client interviews and possible offer of employment.
Negotiates salaries with candidates and successfully convince them to join.
Ensure candidate is available and ready to take up the position.
Responsible for recruiting IT professional across the US through internet job portals - (Monster.com,Tech-Fech.com and Dice.com), direct phone sourcing, networking (LinkedIn), vendors and referrals.
Sourcing & screening the profiles for different requirements in a day.
Activities included but not limited to developing and building channel / vendor relations, understanding existing and pending client needs and closing requisitions

The full JD is below with heavy emphasis in yellow bold below.  The role is that of an advisor / consultant and not as a developer.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the data      architecture effort for the Business Intelligence Department and maintain      modeling standards across all solutions. Client needs an architect who can      advise on MSBI to the larger organization.  
  • Influence technical and business members at different      levels of the organization to ensure data models align to strategic      objectives.
  • Mentor      development teams on best practices relating to data modeling, star and snowflake      schemas, operational data stores and ETL design.  The position      provides technical guidance in the areas of acquired expertise.
  • Resolve discrepancies in data element definitions that      arise from multiple business processes and projects.
  • Balance of current and future needs in both design and      content
  • Follow all standard SDLC processes and produce required      documentation.
  • Analyze requirements and design solutions for approved      projects and change requests.
  • Collaborate on gathering data requirements from various      stakeholders and constituencies as needed.
  • Develop, document and present design solutions and      alternatives
  • Prepare cost and time estimates for the      data modeling effort and development support tasks, as well as      collaborate in identifying project tasks dependencies.  
  • Prepare and contribute toward the preparation of      required project documentation. 
  • Design/develop database structures and review ETL      application code according to business and technical requirements.
  • Identify and validate software and infrastructure      components required to implement technical solutions.
  • Submit software products for review of compliance with      best practices, standards and enterprise architecture (code review).
  • Support quality assurance and testing to achieve      quality objectives.
  • Adhere to change management requirements for      application and system implementations.
  • Analyze conditions and identify strategies that      minimize implementation risk and/or improve system reliability and      performance.
  • Upon implementation of a solution, the individual is      responsible for transitioning knowledge to appropriate area for ongoing      support.
  • Participate in the Assurant Solutions Architecture      Advisory Board

Qualifications

Required skills/experience

  • Must have Bachelors Degree in MIS/Engineering, etc.
  • Must have 8 plus years of      business intelligence and 5 plus years of data      modeling experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal      and written; excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of ETL.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching experience in a technical      environment.

Desired skills/experience

  • Experience in Microsoft SQL server and SSIS.
  • Experience using Microsoft Analysis Services
  • Experience using      database modeling tools such as Embarcadero
