Job description

General Job Description Under general supervision, cleans all areas of the airport. Assists all airport customers as needed. Assists in special events and emergencies.

Reports to the airport custodial supervisor. Must become proficient in job duties within 30 days of hire date. Be available to work at any of the four [4] county airports, if necessary.

Duties for this Position ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: General housekeeping: mopping floors, vacuum carpet, bathroom cleaning, trash pickup, cleaning windows etc. Maintain bathroom supplies such as paper, hand soap, etc. Required to clean all spills Assists with set up for meetings, special events, etc.

May assist with minor building maintenance Must maintain professionalism with the public at all times Accountable for all equipment used each day Will be required to learn security and be able to escort Must learn FAA and TSA policies Must learn Airport Emergency Action Plan Must be able to communicate verbally Will work in all weather conditions and airport emergencies This position may require working nights and/or weekends Understands and complies with Horry County and Department policies regarding absences and use of paid leave time and other policies Performs other related duties as required / assigned Position Minimum Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: High School or GED equal, physical ability to perform the required work, previous custodial experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities. PREFERRED: Experience with operating power cleaning equipment such as carpet extractor, floor buffers, shampooer, etc. Previous custodial experience.

Previous airport experience. Knowledge or OSHA, FAA, TSA rules and regulations. Candidate must pass a background check without indication of possible aviation security risk as required by the transportation security administration, valid SC motor vehicle operator's license, and meet pre-employment drug screening requirements.

Additional Information KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: Ability to address and direct people as needed in airport emergencies Ability to perform manual labor and lift at least 40 pounds
