TeamHealth is seeking a hospitalist to join our hospitalist team at Conway Medical Center in Conway, South Carolina, on a PRN basis. Responsibilities include rounding, admitting and discharging. PRN brings supplemental income, schedule flexibility and no monthly shift commitment. In today's hospital medicine environment, you're asked to deliver patient care with a high level of confidence. City Description
As the county seat of Horry County, South Carolina, Conway is part of the Myrtle Beach metropolitan area and home of Coastal Carolina University. Numerous buildings and structures in Conway are on the National Register of Historic Places, including the City Hall building, reputedly designed by Robert Mills, architect of the Washington Monument. The 1980s brought the completion of the Main Street USA project that revitalized Conway's downtown with shops and bistros.
Facility Description
Conway Medical Center is a trusted leader in healthcare and has served the medical needs of Horry County and surrounding communities for nearly a century. This non-profit medical center's roots run deep in Horry County. Today, Conway Medical Center has 210 inpatient beds and is one of the county's largest employers with over 1500 staff members. Conway Medical Center's medical staff is comprised of approximately 200 physicians, representing 30 specialties. Diagnostic services include cardiac catheterization, PET scanning, two high-speed GE CT Systems including a 64-slice CT scanner, 3-D Mammography with SmartCurve technology, 3-D heart scans, PET scanning, MRI, breast MRI, bone-density screening, digital mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, high definition endoscopy/bronchoscopy, and a sleep-disorders lab. The facility also offers an outpatient physical therapy and cardiac rehabilitation program. Conway Medical Center specializes in general and vascular surgery, joint replacement surgery, spine surgery, medical care to include critical care, telemetry, inpatient dialysis, palliative care, obstetrics, pediatrics and women's services.
