Direct Care Workers (DCWs) provide essential assistance and support to clients who need help with daily tasks.
Typical Job Duties
- Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, toileting, shaving, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Companionship Services: Accompanying clients to grocery stores, doctor's appointments, and social activities.
- Light Housework: Performing tasks such as dishes, laundry, and vacuuming.
Requirements Before Scheduling
Before an applicant can be scheduled to work, the following must be submitted:
- CPR Certification (completed within the last two years)
- Physical Examination (completed within the last year)
- Two-Step TB Test (completed within the last year)
Please note: Independence Care will conduct a criminal background check.
