Full-Time 2 – 5 Years’ Experience. Security CCTV, Burglar & Fire Alarm Installation Technician - Fairfield, NJ

Homeland Security is looking for "super stars" to join our family!!

Homeland Security & Life Safety Systems, LLC is growing rapidly and looking for experienced technician to install in the Electronic Security industry. Commercial Burglar Alarm, Fire Alarm, IP CCTV, Intercom and Access Control Systems. Candidate must be proficient at installing and using a digital multi-meter, network tester, IP camera addressing, hand tools and power tools, and running wires and network cabling. Great opportunity, pay and benefits.

Here are some of the manufactures you must be familiar with:

  • Security - DMP, Bosch, Honeywell
  • IP CCTV – Hanwha, Axis, Verint, Exacq, Avigilon
  • Access Control – Lenel, Software House, Brivo, Amag, WINPAK
  • Fire - Silent Knight, Firelite, Bosch, Notifire, Silent Knight

TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES

· High School Diploma or Tech School Certification

  • · Continually learn new products, upgrades and software programs related to low voltage systems
  • · Installing low voltage security systems in a new and old construction commercial, banking and retail environment
  • · Read and understand floor plans
  • · Terminating and installing security, CCTV and Access devises
  • · Testing /troubleshooting system issues
  • · Pulling Fiber and Cat6
  • · Responsible for maintaining company vehicle’s inventory

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS

  • · Valid New Jersey driver’s license
  • · Minimum of 1-5 years of experience as a field technician trouble shooting CCTV and alarm systems
  • · Terminating RJ-45 Cat6/Cat5 modules
  • · Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • · Ability to work on heights (scissor, boom lifts and ladders)
  • · Must be able to climb, crawl and raise objects overhead
