For eligible current federal employees, a relocation incentive of up to 15% is available. UNIT DESCRIPTION
The Information Management Division's (IMD) Technology Innovation Section (TIS) provides Digital Automation Solutions (DAS) as an enterprise service. DAS accelerates mission outcomes through enterprise automation, driving enterprise productivity through bots that eliminate repetitive tasks, AI-enhanced workflows, and digital modernization.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be a current, permanent FBI employee
  • Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance
  • Selectee will be required to complete form FD-887, Request for Access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
MAJOR DUTIES
GS-13
  • Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS, Azure, or other enterprise platforms, incorporating AI-enabled services and architecture to support mission applications and IT modernization initiatives.
  • Implement scalable infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or equivalent automation frameworks, including automated provisioning of AI/ML workloads, model hosting environments, and data processing pipelines.
  • Perform cloud system integration, configuration, testing, and optimization to ensure reliability, security, and performance across multi cloud environments.
  • Conduct cloud migration activities, including assessment, planning, refactoring, and validation of legacy systems and data repositories.
  • Apply cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, logging, monitoring, and compliance with federal standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST).
  • Produce technical documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and engineering artifacts to support governance and knowledge transfer.
GS-14 (In addition to the above):
  • Serve as a senior technical expert and cloud architect responsible for designing enterprise-scale cloud solutions that incorporate advanced AI/ML capabilities to support the FBI's mission, modernization priorities, and intelligent automation platforms.
  • Provide authoritative guidance on cloud strategy, standards, governance, integrating AI/ML technologies, and architectural best practices to senior leadership and cross functional teams.
  • Lead development of enterprise IaC frameworks, DevSecOps pipelines, and automated system provisioning to drive consistency and reduce operational risk.
  • Ensure cloud security architecture aligns with federal cybersecurity frameworks, overseeing controls implementation, compliance validation, and secure design reviews.

Specialized Experience (SE)
