Job description

Osha Thai Kitchen and Sushi is a Thai and sushi restaurant open in Holly Springs, in the Downtown Village District.


We are looking for employees that are excited about being a part of a busy business in a growing town. The Server should ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality customer service and responding promptly and respectfully to any guest concerns. Servers are responsible for taking orders, serving food and drinks, and removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor and observe guest dining experience to anticipate their needs and ensure their satisfaction
  • Remove guest dinnerware, replenish utensils, refill water glasses, and respond to other customer needs
  • Extensive working knowledge of the menu and ingredients to assist guests in food and beverage selections as well as address concerns related to food preparation or dietary needs
  • Food allergies, food sensitivities or other special customer requests must be clearly communicated with kitchen
  • Working knowledge of table and seat numbers as well as position points to ensure accurate dish presentation
  • Enter orders accurately into POS
  • Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ensure dining areas are clean prior to the start of service and maintain cleanliness throughout service
  • Process customer payment accurately
  • Maintain a neat appearance and clean service areas

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prior restaurant experience required, Thai restaurant preferred
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
  • Understanding of safety and health procedures
  • Customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ready to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Basic math skills to handle customer payment and make change, as applicable
  • Ability to work in standing position for extended periods of time
  • Safely lift, bend, carry up to 40 lbs.
