Job description

In these fully remote AI Workflow Engineering roles, you'll design, build, and operationalize AIenabled workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and outcomes for 3.4 million members and communities we serve.

We're considering candidates across all levels-from Associate AI Workflow Engineer I (G9) through Principal AI Workflow Engineer (G13). Whether you're early in career and eager to build, or you bring deep expertise in AI and enterprise transformation, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities

Technical Support & Coding Assistance

  • Assist with simple coding tasks, model configuration steps, or data preparation activities under direct supervision.

Learning & Skills Development

  • Perform hands-on learning exercises to build familiarity with Python, AI tools, and cloud environments (e.g., GCP Vertex AI).
  • Complete assigned upskilling tasks related to machine learning, Generative AI, Python, or relevant frameworks.

Agent & Workflow Development

  • Support basic agent-building activities, such as configuring prompts, testing agent behaviors, or validating simple workflows.

Innovation & Collaboration

  • Participate in brainstorms and innovation sessions to explore new ideas, tools, and AI capabilities.

Documentation & Communication

  • Clearly document work, track progresson assigned tasks, and communicate updates, challenges, and findings effectively to team members.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Working toward or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Computer Science, Analytics, or related discipline.
  • Relevant coursework, projects, or research in AI, Machine Learning, or Data Science is a strong plus.

Experience

  • Relevant experience, including internships, academic projects, capstones, or selfdirected learning preferred.

Skills/Certifications

  • Basic familiarity with Python and willingness to grow into writing and debugging code.
  • Interest in AI/ML concepts, Generative AI tools, and agent-based systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to document work clearly.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and concepts in the rapidly evolving field of AI.
  • Must be organized, reliable, able to manage assigned tasks effectively, and possess a strong work ethic and collaborative attitude.
