Bailey Information Technology, LLC TS/SCI - Cloud Engineer * St. Louis, MO Position: Cloud Engineer Location:  2337 S Grand Blvd St. Louis MO, 63104 Clearance: TS/SCI Security Clearance with ability to obtain Poly CI Required Certifications: DD8570 compliant Certification (Security+) Level: T3 Job Description: BIT, LLC is recruiting for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to work on a cloud development and deployment team. The team is involved in the deployment and maintenance of multiple operational cloud deployed software solutions. A successful candidate will have experience across all AWS Environments and be able to provide analysis and recommendations for architectural and configuration updates.  Responsibilities: This position involves collaborating with teams in the design and implementation of AWS system architectures including operation status and security of government systems (ATO), reviewing and providing input to system requirements, and compiling industry best practices / lessons learned into future iteration designs.  Provides broad-based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and applies the experience to specific AWS cloud initiatives relating to architectural design and development. The candidate works with team members to move data to the appropriate data stores and monitors dashboard metrics including costs, computational utilization and other future business needs Program hours 8am-4pm CST with core 10am-2pm.  Occasional evening or weekend work can be required.  When required, schedule changes will be arranged.  First 6 months onsite 4 days a week.  Hybrid (WFH) M/W/F schedule after (contingent with Program Management’s approval).  Core Qualifications: * 5+ years’ experience consulting, designing and implementing distributed solutions and 3+ years’ experience with cloud-based solutions (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) including virtualization environment, network and operating system experience * Experience in AWS/Cloud technologies * Experience in Grafana * Subject Matter Expertise understanding across AWS cloud technologies including: EC2, PaaS (OpenShift), Lamdas, S3 buckets, Reserved Instances, etc. * Understanding of code baseline management * Utilization of the following: Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Python, Gitlab, CloudFormation, Zabbix, HPFortify, ACAS, PostgreSQL, Scrum, Kanban, Terraform * Knowledge of Systems, Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices * Proactive self-starter demonstrates a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills. * Demonstrates ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly * Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work, follow tasks to their logical conclusion and ensure everything has been correctly satisfied to standard. Great attention to detail. * Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context. * Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance with ability to obtain Poly CI * DoD 8570 Certification Compliance (IAT Level 2/3) * Requires BS degree and & 5+ years of prior relevant experience OR, MS with 3+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree * Familiar with System Engineering documentation creation (VDDs, diagrams, etc.) * Familiar with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat) Preferred Qualifications: * Understanding of SFA organization; Aeronautical data and mission * Experience with NGA cloud-based architecture * AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Developer, Certifications * Experience with IC Cloud Architecture implementation methodologies * Native cloud templating services like AWS Cloud Formation * Experience with Aeronautical datasets * Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and projects * Experience with Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) process of evaluating solution options Apply Now More Openings * TS/SCI Mid-Level Program Analyst – Strategic Communications _R&D * Springfield, VA Share This Job
