Job description

Project Manager - Microsoft Project (Onsite, Ocala, FL)

We are looking for a Project Manager - Microsoft Project for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will manage and maintain detailed Microsoft Project schedules, including task planning, resource tracking, and status reporting, to ensure site projects are completed on time, within budget, and at required quality levels.

This is an 8-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week role (4-day 10-hour shifts per week), onsite role at Ocala, FL.

This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Own the scheduling, resource tracking, and status reporting of major site projects using Microsoftโ€ฏProject.โ€ฏ
  • Drive disciplined questioning of the project plan to surface missing tasks, risk, and resource conflicts.โ€ฏ
  • The primary aim is to keep projects on schedule, within budget, and at the required quality level, and to convey concise, actionable information to site leadership.โ€ฏ
  • You will track resource allocations and communicate any shortfalls or bottlenecks to the appropriate managers, but you will not have direct authority to re assign staff.
  • Build & maintain detailed MSโ€ฏProject schedules (tasks, dependencies, milestones).
  • Track resources by skill type and/or by individual engineer name; capture planned versus actual effort.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews with project teams, asking focused questions.
  • Identify resource allocation issues (over booking, skill gaps, competing commitments) and communicate them promptly to project leads or management for resolution.
  • Monitor cost performance within the schedule and flag variances early.
  • Secondary โ€“โ€ฏLeadership Communication & Reporting
  • Prepare concise status dashboards (Gantt snapshots, risk registers) for site leadership on the agreed cadence.
  • Summarize project health (schedule, cost, quality, risk) in executive ready briefings, highlighting decisions needed and resource constraints.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience with Microsoft Project
  • 6 years of experience with Project Management
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree

Desired Experience/Certification:

  • PMP Certification is desired, but not required
  • Experience in a manufacturing plant is desired, but not required
