We are currently seeking a HVAC Brazing Technician to add to our growing team.

Position Summary & Objective

The HVAC Brazing Technician is responsible for ensuring all unit plumbing and piping meet exact design specifications for custom HVAC systems. This role performs high-quality brazing, testing, and finishing of components while supporting production schedules and maintaining strict adherence to company safety standards, policies, and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to determine brazing requirements.
  • Select appropriate filler metals and alloys based on base materials and application.
  • Set up, adjust, and maintain brazing equipment for proper operation.
  • Clean, prepare, and align metal surfaces to ensure proper joint integrity.
  • Apply flux and heat components to proper temperatures for effective brazing.
  • Perform precision brazing operations on HVAC piping and components.
  • Control filler material flow to ensure strong, leak-free joints.
  • Complete post-brazing finishing and clean joints to meet quality standards.
  • Inspect brazed joints and identify defects, taking corrective action as needed.
  • Perform pressure testing, vacuum checks, and system charging per company specifications.
  • Accurately document work performed, including test results and inspection data.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment utilizing 5S principles.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production schedules.
  • Support cross-training and assist in other departments as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of HVAC brazing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of brazing techniques and materials used in HVAC systems.
  • HVAC certification is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Work performed in a manufacturing facility with exposure to production equipment, noise, and metalworking environments.
  • Potential exposure to fumes, heat, and airborne particles associated with brazing operations.
  • Ability to stand, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Frequent lifting up to 40 pounds; occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 60 pounds.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, flame-resistant clothing, and respiratory/hearing protection as needed.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts based on production needs.
