We're looking for a motivated sales professional with experience in Building Automation (BAS), HVAC controls, commercial HVAC, or mechanical systems to grow our Building Automation business. Whether you've sold BAS solutions, commercial HVAC services, or have a strong technical background and are ready to move into sales, we'd love to talk.
In this role, you'll partner with building owners, facility managers, contractors, engineers, and decision-makers to identify opportunities to improve building performance through Building Automation, energy management, system upgrades, and long-term service solutions.
If you're relationship-driven, enjoy solving problems, and want unlimited earning potential with an established industry leader, this could be the opportunity for you.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward performance and support your success:
  • Base Salary: $70,000 - $90,000+ annually, commensurate with experience
  • Commission: Uncapped commission structure with high earning potential
  • Car Allowance: $700 per month
  • Fuel: Company-provided gas card

  • Sell our Building Automation and Energy Solutions business, focusing on existing account upgrades and additions to grow the service business.
  • Think outside the box to capture new vertical markets, projects and customers.
  • Communicate effectively through various platforms, tailoring messages to your audience and leading them toward objectives.
  • Stay up to date with the latest building automation and energy consumption technologies.
  • Identify new business opportunities through networking, trade shows, cold calling, follow-up calls, and collaboration with the team.
  • Conduct site surveys to identify mechanical, electrical, and operational inefficiencies, review utility bills, and provide solutions.
  • Develop and communicate sales strategies, ensuring effective customer solutions delivery.
  • Initiate projects beyond established practices and work with internal teams to drive change and improvement.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to ensure timely project delivery, acting as a key communication link between operations and sales teams.
  • Use your spending account to entertain, engage, and build relationships with owners and engineers
We're interested in professionals with experience in one or more of the following:
  • Building Automation Systems (BAS)
  • HVAC Controls
  • Commercial HVAC
  • Mechanical Contracting
  • Energy Management Solutions
  • Commercial Service Sales
Additional qualifications include:
  • Proven success in outside sales, account management, or business development.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, controls, or mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to build trust and develop relationships with customers and decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
Building Automation sales experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with commercial HVAC sales or technical HVAC experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements
  •  Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory.
  •  Ability to walk commercial buildings, construction sites, rooftops, and mechanical rooms during customer visits and site surveys.
  •  Ability to climb stairs and ladders and navigate areas with uneven surfaces while following all applicable safety requirements.
  •  Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  •  Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, dust, and moderate noise.
  •  Ability to use a computer, tablet, smartphone, and other standard office equipment for extended periods.
Brooks Building Solutions is a Metro Jacksonville Top Workplace (three years running!) and a leader in HVAC, building automation, and energy-efficient solutions for commercial buildings. With 150+ employees and a strong culture rooted in growth and collaboration, we offer the career development opportunities and mentorship you'd expect from a growing company-plus direct access to leadership.
