SCHEDULE: Wednesday-Sunday (Split shift: 5am-8am, 3pm-8pm) 40 hours


Pays $24.50 - $30.00 per hour DOE (Salary ranges provided are based on relevant experience and skill set)

Location: 1 Lingard St., Dorchester, MA


The Driver is an essential position that includes holidays.


SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:


The HFI Driver is responsible for conducting scheduled transportation assignments, including transporting guests between the Men’s Inn, Holy Family Inn, and other designated locations as needed. The Driver also assists with shelter services as directed by the Day Supervisor or Associate Director, while consistently demonstrating appropriate conduct and effective conflict resolution in interactions with guests, staff, and members of the public. In collaboration with supervisors and team members, the Driver helps maintain Pine Street Inn vehicles in a clean sanitary condition, supporting a safe and secure environment for shelter guests, operating vehicles in a manner that is safe, secure and in accordance with PSI Authorized drivers’ policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/TRAINING:


REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to read English satisfactorily.

PREFERRED:

  • CPR, First Aid, CPI certifications

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:


REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of six (6) months of work experience in human services
  • Must have basic technical skills, and the ability to use latest Windows programs.

PREFERRED:

  • Previous experience driving a 15-passenger van.
