General Summary: Under the direction of the Historic and Cultural Preservation Director, the Cemetery Crew member works to ensure the protection and preservation of valued historic and cultural resources for future generations. The Cemetery Crew member will assist in locating, cleaning and the documenting of Mvskoke Cemeteries within the Mvskoke Reservation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with mowing, weed eating, cutting and clearing trees, limbs, shrubs, and hauling debris.
Assist with building fences around cemeteries when needed and requested by applicant.
Document cemeteries utilizing hand- held Global Positioning System ( GPS) units, photographs, site sketches, and interviews with descendants or informants who are knowledgeable about the site.
Provide Cemetery Documentation reports to the Director of the Historic and Cultural Preservation Department.
Conduct Ground Penetrating Radar( GPR) surveys, when requested, to locate and document any unknown burials within a cemetery or any other cultural site.
Perform duties effectively and efficiently; be motivated, thorough, accurate, and reliable concerning attendance.
Performs other duties as assigned with the scope of work within the
department.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.

Basic knowledge and skills of maintenance and landscaping Ability to operate a chainsaw, tractor, riding mower, and skid steer
Preferred Requirements: Associate Degree in History, Tribal Services or a related field with two years' experience, preferably in Historic Preservation.
Experience and skilled in operating a chainsaw, perform chainsaw maintenance
