Job Description: Cemetery Grounds Maintenance

Resthaven Memorial Gardens is seeking a hardworking and motivated individual to join our team in Clarksville, Tennessee. As a Cemetery Maintenance Member, you will be responsible for various tasks related to ground maintenance, landscape maintenance, and backhoe operations. Your duties will include assisting with burial and entombment set up, maintaining the grounds, assembling and installing memorials and headstones, and fulfilling cemetery maintenance requests.

Responsibilities:

- Install headstones and monuments, following proper procedures and guidelines.

- Assist in the preparation and set up for burials and entombments, ensuring all necessary equipment and materials are ready for use.

- Maintain the cemetery's landscaping using mowers, trimmers and other garden equipment.

- Perform cemetery maintenance requests that ensure the overall upkeep of the cemetery grounds to include features and memorials.

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times to ensure a secure work environment.

Requirements:

- Previous experience in cemetery maintenance is required.

- Proficiency in operating backhoes, tractors, lawnmowers, edgers, trimmers and blowers is essential.

- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

- Ability to lift up to or over 75lbs

- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in burial and headstone installation.

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and clients.

- Maintain open communication with the location manager regarding scheduling, supply needs, and operational concerns.
