Job description

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Application Mgmt) to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). ILS, along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.

About the Role:

The Senior Business Analyst, Application Management plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The Senior Business Analyst, Application Management is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing application systems that support clinical and administrative functions, ensuring they align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. The Senior Business Analyst, Application Management involves collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather detailed requirements, assess current processes, and recommend improvements that enhance operational efficiency and member outcomes. The Senior Business Analyst will guide initiatives to implement new applications or upgrades, administer project timelines, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems. Ultimately, the Senior Business Analyst, Application Management drives the successful delivery of technology solutions that improve service delivery and support compliance with industry standards. In addition, the Senior Business Analyst leads and supports training initiatives to ensure successful adoption of applications and system enhancements. This includes developing training materials, facilitating user training sessions, and providing ongoing support to end users to build proficiency and confidence in system use. The role also involves identifying knowledge gaps and promoting best practices to improve overall system utilization and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • 3-2 years of experience as a Business Analyst in healthcare or a related industry, with a focus on application management.
  • Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation of business and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication and management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, or related field. Experienced in gathering and documenting functional and technical requirements.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, clinical and administrative processes, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
  • Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid healthcare standards, including ICD and CPT coding.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, enhancements, or process improvements
  • Knowledge of data analytics tools and techniques relevant to healthcare application performance and reporting.
  • Knowledge of technology tools that support training programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to analyze, document and validate detailed business and technical requirements for application systems application changes, ensuring documentation is created and appropriately distributed.
  • Analyze existing application workflows and data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for enhancement within clinical and administrative processes.
  • Guide the development and implementation of application management and training initiatives to facilitate training development.
  • Develop and execute test plans, coordinate user acceptance testing, and ensure quality assurance of system implementations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to develop training project plans, timelines, and scheduling for departmental training.
  • Monitor application performance and user feedback to recommend continuous improvements and support long-term application sustainability.
  • Review documents, system manuals and written external communication for format, consistency and compliance with existing procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
