Job description

Position Overview: Position is full-time, dayshift. Using the current designated coding system(s), the coder will apply hospital approved coding rules and regulations to assign E&M codes and injection/infusion codes that appear in the context of all medical records at Springhill Medical Center.

Pre-employment Requirements:

  • We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Job Requirements:

  • Validation of high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferably a graduate from an approved Health Information Management Program with credentials of RHIT or RHIA.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in an HIM/Coding/Charging Environment.
