  • 4-Day Work Weeks (Monday-Thursday, 10-hour days) from May through October
  • Flexible Winter Schedule with Monday-Friday hours and Friday afternoons off from November through April

What You'll Do

As a Highway Maintenance Worker, you'll perform a variety of important outdoor maintenance and roadway operations, including:

  • Maintaining county roads and right-of-ways to keep travel safe and efficient
  • Operating snowplows and snow removal equipment during winter weather events
  • Mowing grass, trimming trees and brush, spraying weeds, and repairing washouts
  • Repairing potholes, filling roadway cracks, and maintaining bridges and guardrails
  • Installing and repairing posts, markers, and snow fences
  • Helping improve the appearance and safety of county roadways through general maintenance and cleanup
