C & S Sweeping Services, Inc. seeks CDL Class A or B Street Sweeper Drivers for our Phoenix location.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, flexible with their start and end schedule, have weekend availability as needed, and possess a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service.

POSITION SUMMARY

C&S Sweeping Services operates a variety of equipment and serves multiple industries, including road construction, municipal contracts, commercial properties, parking lots, highways, and large debris removal projects.

Drivers must be flexible and willing to operate different types of equipment and work on various contracts as business needs dictate. Assignments may include, but are not limited to:

  • Street Sweepers
  • Large Debris Trucks
  • Dump Trucks (qualified drivers)
  • Water Trucks (qualified drivers)
  • Other construction-related equipment as trained and assigned

Drivers may also be required to perform duties outside of the vehicle, including removing debris from roadways and job sites, assisting with cleanup activities, operating backpack blowers and other hand-held equipment, performing light manual labor, and assisting with other job-related tasks as directed by management.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid Arizona CDL Class A or B drivers (without air brake restriction)
  • Acceptable driving record for the last 39 months
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • One year of CDL driving experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience preferred
  • Mechanically inclined; we provide training for minor equipment repairs and troubleshooting
  • Ability to communicate, read, and understand English
  • Ability to complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT standards
  • Proven commitment to safe work practices and operations
  • Reliable mobile phone and dependable transportation to work
  • Ability to work weekends, and varying schedules as required by operational needs
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen prior to hire (reimbursed after 30 days of employment)
  • Required tools after training period

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dust, fumes, vibrations, and airborne particles
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and lifting
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to enter and exit vehicles multiple times throughout a shift
  • Ability to work safely around moving vehicles, construction equipment, and mechanical parts
  • Must be willing and able to perform light manual labor, remove debris, and operate backpack blowers and other equipment as required
