We are seeking a Systems Designer to join our team of low-voltage and door hardware experts. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and documentation of low-voltage systems on commercial & institutional projects. This includes telecommunications, electronic security (access control, etc.), audio/visual, and building automation systems. Our systems designers collaborate with cross-functional teams and take projects from concept through construction, ensuring systems are reliable, cost-effective, scalable, and compliant with all applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop low-voltage system plans, risers, and details using AutoCAD, Revit, and/or BIM software
  • Prepare project specifications and technical reports
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering plans to coordinate low-voltage system integration
  • Perform load calculations, device layout, and routing for cabling infrastructure
  • Coordinate low-voltage designs with other engineering disciplines, architects, and consultants
  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and provide support during construction administration.
  • Conduct site surveys and field investigations
Qualifications:
Required:
  • 3-5 years of experience designing low-voltage systems using 3D modeling tools
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Familiarity with codes and standards such as NFPA, NEC, BICSI, and TIA/EIA.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
  • RCDD or CTS certification.
  • Experience with construction administration or commissioning.
  • Knowledge of project management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, eBuilder
