As a Security Guard for High Rise - Part Time in El Segundo, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment through professional communication and customer service. You will document security-related activities using site technology while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail and business location, including sales areas, entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized entry, theft, property damage, and other policy violations.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and visitor or vendor activity in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
