· Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain orbital welding equipment; verify process parameters meet WPS/PQR requirements and project specifications. -Read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, process specifications, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and quality records; document welds with traceability.
· Prepare joints and fit-up, clean surfaces to required cleanliness levels, and maintain passivation and surface finish requirements per client/spec. (e.g., Ra targets and standard surface finishes used in high-purity systems.) -Conduct pre-weld cleaning, fit-up checks, leak testing (e.g., helium leak tests), and post-weld inspection; perform nondestructive examination as required (e.g., dye penetrant/pressure tests).
· Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA/ISO guidelines, ASME BPVC Section IX weld qualifications, and ASME BPE guidelines as applicable.

· Certification or demonstrated qualification as an orbital welder is highly desirable.
Preferred qualifications
· Prior experience with surface finishes and passivation processes relevant to high-purity systems.
· Experience with non-destructive testing methods (dye penetrant, pressure tests) and leak testing procedures.
· Valid welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) and/or ASME/BPE-specific welder qualifications.
· Ability to read and interpret quality documentation and produce precise weld reports.
Physical requirements
· Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods; lift/move items up to 50 lbs as needed.
· Ability to work in confined spaces or tight joints and in controlled environmental conditions.
· Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
