Jobs that require orbital welding include fabricator, high purity welder, and PPI welder positions. In these positions, you use a TIG welder, arc machine, or a similar piece of equipment to fabricate structures. You cut and then tack tubular components together, create final welds, and inspect the face of each weld to ensure its integrity. You also document compliance with tolerances when necessary, and you perform other related duties like keeping your worksite clean and safe and maintaining your tools and equipment. When required, you also adhere to and fulfill your responsibilities according to ASME/BPE and GMP guidelines.
