Job Summary:
The Server Assistant (Backwaiter) plays a crucial role in supporting servers and ensuring a flawless, high-end dining experience. This position requires grace, efficiency, and attention to detail, assisting with table maintenance, service coordination, and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Service & Experience
  • Assist servers in delivering attentive, unobtrusive, and polished service.
  • Ensure tables are set, cleared, and reset with precision and efficiency.
  • Anticipate guest needs by offering water, bread, and additional accompaniments.
  • Provide a seamless dining experience, working in sync with servers and kitchen staff.
  • Handle guest requests promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.

Service Coordination & Execution
  • Pre-bus tables discreetly, ensuring a clean and refined dining environment.
  • Support in running food from the kitchen, ensuring proper plate placement and presentation.
  • Assist in maintaining proper course pacing by coordinating with servers and chefs.
  • Polish and prepare glassware, silverware, and tableware to maintain fine dining standards.
  • Ensure all service stations are stocked, organized, and spotless throughout service.

Professionalism & Teamwork
  • Maintain a poised and professional appearance, adhering to fine dining service etiquette.
  • Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
