About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects throughout the Bay Area. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience managing commercial interior tenant improvement projects and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

What You'll Do

  • Lead day-to-day field operations from project startup through closeout.
  • Manage subcontractors, site logistics, manpower, and daily construction activities.
  • Coordinate closely with Project Managers, owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, including three-week look-ahead schedules.
  • Conduct daily site walks and ensure compliance with project quality and safety standards.
  • Lead subcontractor meetings and participate in Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings.
  • Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and field changes to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Coordinate inspections, permitting activities, and building official approvals.
  • Identify field issues early and develop practical solutions to minimize project impacts.
  • Maintain daily reports, project documentation, and clear communication with the project team.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent.
  • Experience managing interior tenant improvement projects ranging from $5M–$50M.
  • OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and field coordination.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), including mechanical, electrical, fire alarm, security, data center, and server room systems.
  • Experience working with permitting agencies and building officials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing projects within occupied corporate campus environments.
  • Flexibility to work occasional nights or weekends when project schedules require.
