We have partnered with a manufacturer of aluminum castings in the Clifton, NJ area to provide them with a Machine Operator. Please review the description below and let us know if you are interested.
Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Machine Operator:
#1. High School Diploma or GED required. Technical certificate or vocational training in machining or manufacturing technology preferred.
#2. 2+ years of CNC machine operation experience operating CNC mills, CNC lathes, or machining centers in a manufacturing environment.
#3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or blueprints and follow machining specifications.
#4. Hands on experience performing machine setup, tool changes, and production adjustments on CNC equipment.
#5. Manufacturing experience in one of the following industries

Responsibilities of the Machine Operator:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce aluminum components according to production schedules and specifications
  • Load raw materials into machines and properly secure workpieces prior to machining operations
  • Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent production output and product quality
  • Inspect machined parts to verify conformance with engineering drawings and quality standards
  • Adjust machine settings and offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy and machining performance
  • Perform cutting tool changes and adjustments following proper machining procedures
  • Conduct basic machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure reliable equipment performance
  • Monitor production output and report equipment issues or process deviations to supervisors
  • Maintain accurate production records including machine settings, production quantities, and inspection results
  • Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training and operational meetings
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support efficient manufacturing operations
