Lightspeed Restoration of Middletown
FieldTechnician

We're a locally owned and operated restoration company serving Middletown and the surrounding Monmouth County area, including Red Bank, Holmdel, Marlboro, Freehold, Keyport, and Rumson. We're not a call center hours away, you'll be working directly with the owner as we build this business from the ground up.

Job Summary:
The Field Technician provides 24/7 emergency water damage recovery, mold remediation, fire restoration, and indoor air quality services in homes and buildings across Middletown and Monmouth County.
Field Technicians work directly under the supervision of a Lead Technician, Crew Supervisor, or Project Manager in a team atmosphere. The Supervisor will assign various tasks to the field technician to complete as part of the project as a whole.
Typical Duties Include:
  • Light demolition and removal of finished building materials from the job site
  • Operating water collection vacuums or pumps to extract standing water from inside structures
  • Detailed, fine cleaning including vacuuming, brushing, and damp wiping surfaces and building contents
  • Setting or adjusting equipment for drying or filtration
  • Cleaning HVAC / air duct & exhaust systems using collection vacuums, rotary and stationary
  • Squatting, crawling, and ladder work are often required to access all areas of a home or building
  • Demonstrate proper, safe operation of battery-operated and corded power drills, hammer drills, circular saws, reciprocating saws
  • Demonstrate safe lifting, pushing, pulling, and ladder-climbing practices
  • Demonstrate safe chemical storage, labeling, and use practices
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to operate PC and mobile devices
  • Exhibit a professional, neat appearance
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs

Qualifications:
  • No experience required, 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction practices is a strong plus
  • Self-motivated and growth-oriented
  • Able to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment
  • Comfortable traveling to job sites throughout Middletown and greater Monmouth County
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record (MVR check required)

  • Gloves (leather, nitrile, or coated cloth depending on application)
  • Safety Glasses or Goggles
  • N-95 Respirators
  • Poly Spun "Tyvek" style suits with hood and foot protection
  • Shoe Covers, Knee Pads, and Muck Boots
  • Hard Hats, Ear Protection, and steel-toe shoes may be required, depending on site application
  • Fall protection for aerial work

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
