Pragma Engine is the game industry leading backend - cross-platform authentication, social, commerce, player data, matchmaking, telemetry, and more. Works as your backend or with your existing backend.
FirstLook (including creators.gg and player.gg) is our player relationship management platform that helps studios onboard, understand, and reward their players throughout a game's entire lifecycle - from first playtest to live operations. We've onboarded millions of players and power community growth for 250+ studios.
You'll be joining a deeply experienced team who have scaled some of the largest games in the world, including League of Legends and Destiny 2. Our team also brings platform experience from Google, Twitch, Amazon, and Microsoft.
We are a Series B company backed by globally renowned technology investors, including Greylock, Insight Partners, and Upfront Ventures.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Business Development & Sales Manager based in North America to drive FirstLook's growth across the NA gaming market. You'll own the full sales cycle - from identifying opportunities to closing deals - whilst building long-term relationships with game studios of all sizes. We have a great team and you'll be supported in your mission and day-to-day.
This is a high-impact role where you'll be working directly with studio leadership, helping them transform how they build relationships with their players. You'll be joining early enough to shape our North American GTM strategy whilst having the backing of a well-funded company with product market fit.
What You'll Do
Sales & Business Development
  • Own the full sales cycle for FirstLook select NA partners
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities with indie studios, AA publishers, and AAA enterprises
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers at NA game studios and publishers
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline through outbound prospecting, events, and partnerships
  • Represent FirstLook at gaming events (Gamescom, Devcom, GDC, etc.)
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations that showcase FirstLook's value
  • Navigate enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Close deals ranging from self-service SMB to large enterprise contracts
  • Meet and exceed quarterly revenue targets

Market Intelligence
  • Become an expert on the NA gaming market and competitive landscape
  • Partner with product and engineering to translate customer feedback into product direction
  • Track industry trends, studio launches, and funding announcements
  • Share market insights with leadership to inform product and GTM strategy
  • Develop case studies and success stories from North America customers

Requirements
Experience
  • 3-5 years in B2B sales, business development, or account management
  • Experience selling SaaS, developer tools, or gaming technology strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Experience with full-cycle enterprise sales (discovery → demo → negotiation → close)
  • Comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Experience with APAC and/or mobile gaming studios a plus (not required)

Skills
  • Deep understanding of the gaming industry and development lifecycle
  • Ability to deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations
  • Strong communication skills across cultures and languages
  • Self-starter mentality - comfortable building processes and owning your territory
  • Technical enough to understand product capabilities and high level understanding for topics such as API integrations
  • Proficient with modern software solutions (we use modern software at Pragma to work quickly and efficiently)

Location & Logistics
  • Based in North America (US preferred)
  • Willingness to travel regularly for customer meetings and industry events (GDC, Gamescom etc)
  • Remote-first with occasional team gatherings
