Overview: Listerhill Credit Union is a financial cooperative whose primary purpose is to help our members live financially healthy lives. In 1952, seven Reynolds Metals employees deposited $5 each with the idea of starting a credit union that was member-owned and member-focused. Helping co-workers break from predatory lenders to borrow affordably and save for their financial futures, was their motivation. We have grown from a single office at Reynolds Metals to 18 branches throughout northwest Alabama and south-central Tennessee. Today, we serve 13 counties with a full line of financial solutions. Our purpose and commitment to financial health has never changed. We recognize what is good for our members is good for us. We aspire to high standards of integrity, excellence, and passion. The Role: Your efforts and ultimate successes should be measurable and recognizable as you strive daily within LCU's vision: "to value people over profit, proactively seek improvement, work passionately, exceed expectations, and make our community a better place". You will be responsible for all installs, upgrade, and maintain computer hardware and peripheral equipment. You will coordinate technology needs with outsources vendors for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. You will report to your supervisor in researching, planning, and implementing new technologies to improve member access and staff efficiency.


What you will do:

  • Assist in maintaining the credit union's network, hardware, and software to ensure that back end functions, systems, PC's, servers, and all peripheral products are operational
  • Assist researching and diagnosing problems within the entire IT infrastructure; troubleshoot and provide solutions. Test solutions to ensure a resolution.
  • Help in responding to user problems to PC's to include software applications, systems integration, or individual hardware problems. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve the problem
  • Assist network team by providing individual support to end users via the phone, in person, or on-line to answer questions or resolve problems
  • Assist in installing, configuring, and testing new servers for systems, printers, etc.
  • Assist in installing and testing new software both for the network and for individual users
  • Be responsible for the repair of printers, PC's, or laptops
  • Assist VP Network Administration in monitoring software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor's regulation
  • Assist in maintaining and administering Microsoft 365 services. Research problems, resolve issues, and evaluate vendors on an on-going basis
  • Assist in training credit union staff on IT processes and applications as deemed necessary by the VP of Network Administration
  • Help to ensure that all software licenses are maintained
  • Perform other duties as assigned 


Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience in a network environment with TCP or an advanced network environment
  • Must have an advanced understanding of networking issues, with hands-on experience in the field
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and have good follow-up skills
  • Qualifications for this job will include personality traits such as strong analytical and critical reasoning skills along with the ability to problem solve as measured by validated testing
  • Strong communication skills

  • Must successfully complete appropriate LCU assessments
