Job description

The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with The Central Family Life Center to find qualified candidates for a Content Specialist (Curriculum Lead & Inclusion Coordinator) in Staten Island, NY. The Central Family Life Center provides programs that strengthen families and promote community well-being through education, youth development, and community services. The organization is committed to delivering inclusive, culturally responsive, and high-quality programming that supports children, families, and the community.


The Content Specialist serves as the curriculum and inclusion lead for the COMPASS Elementary Program. This role ensures that program activities are developmentally appropriate, culturally responsive, inclusive, and aligned with DYCD standards. The Content Specialist supports staff in delivering high-quality enrichment programming, adapts curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners, and collaborates with community partners to enhance program offerings.

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.


  • Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of diverse learners and support youth development.
  • Coach staff in delivering Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), literacy, STEAM, arts, physical activity, and project-based learning.
  • Model inclusive practices and support welcoming environments for youth of all abilities and backgrounds.
  • Collaborate with community partners to coordinate enrichment programming.
  • Observe program activities and provide staff with feedback on facilitation and engagement strategies.
  • Maintain curriculum materials, activity plans, and required documentation.
  • Support family engagement through showcases, exhibitions, and youth presentations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, or a related field.
  • 2 or more years of youth development or afterschool program management experience; SACC experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of New York State SACC regulations and youth program compliance requirements.
  • Experience in curriculum development, youth programming, education, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), youth development, and culturally responsive and inclusive practices.
  • Ability to coach and support staff with empathy and clarity.
  • Creative, organized, and committed to empowering families and youth.
