Job description

Who We Are

At 80 Acres Farms, we're on a mission to change the way the world eatsโ€”and we're looking for people who want to help us do it.

We grow pesticide-free salads, herbs, microgreens, and salad kits in smart vertical farms that produce more food with far fewer resourcesโ€”using up to 95% less water and renewable electricity, with no reliance on weather or seasons. Our produce is available in more than 17,000 retail locations nationwide, including Kroger, Whole Foods, HEB, and The Fresh Market, and reaches food service partners across the country year-round.

What makes this possible is a combination of people, technology, and purpose. Our proprietary growing platform, developed by our technology subsidiary, Infinite Acres, provides our teams with real-time data and control over every aspect of the growing environmentโ€”making our farms among the most advanced in the world. We operate commercial farms in Ohio, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, South Carolina, and Colorado, packhouses in Indiana, Virginia, and Washington, and research and development facilities in Arkansas, Israel, and the Netherlands.

We've grown significantly through the acquisitions of Kalera and Soli Organic, and we're just getting started.

If you're passionate about sustainability, food, and building something that matters, we'd love to have you on the team.

The Impact Youโ€™ll Make

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and execute a wide range of projects across our CEA farm network, including capital improvements, infrastructure upgrades, operational initiatives, and site-level projects. This role will work cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Food Safety, Procurement, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget while minimizing disruption to production.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable operating in fast-paced environments, and capable of managing multiple high-priority capital projects simultaneously across several facilities.

Important note: Primary Site responsibilities will include Anderson, SC and Atlanta, GA and candidate should be located such that they can be at one of those sites regularly, without a need for air travel.

What Youโ€™ll Be Responsible For

  • Manage full lifecycle execution of capital and site projects across multiple CEA facilities
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders including Operations, Grow Teams, Maintenance, Engineering, Food Safety, and Leadership
  • Manage contractors, vendors, integrators, and equipment suppliers to ensure scope, schedule, and quality expectations are met
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, action trackers, budgets, and status updates
  • Lead recurring project meetings and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to leadership
  • Support facility infrastructure upgrades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, automation, packaging equipment, refrigeration, and production systems
  • Help drive operational improvement projects across the farms focused on uptime, efficiency, labor savings, and overall site performance
  • Ensure projects are completed safely and in compliance with company standards, local regulations, and applicable codes
  • Assist in development of scopes of work, bid packages, contractor selection, and capital requests
  • Identify and proactively resolve project roadblocks, resource constraints, and operational conflicts
  • Coordinate handoff to site teams after project completion and make sure documentation/training is wrapped up
  • Support emergency repair coordination and critical issue response when required

What You Bring

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Operations, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years of project management experience in industrial, manufacturing, food production, agriculture, distribution, or related environments
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms

What Makes You Successful Here

  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, food production, agriculture, warehouse/distribution, or CEA environments is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing capital projects and operational initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems, industrial equipment, and facility infrastructure
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and aggressive timelines
  • Experience working directly with contractors, vendors, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working both strategically and hands-on when needed
  • Primary Site responsibilities will include Anderson, SC and Atlanta, GA and candidate should be in a position to be at one of those sites regularly.
