Field Service Technician - Pennsylvania (Traveling Role)
AGC Heat Transfer, the leading manufacturer of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers across the U.S. We are looking for a skilled, customer-driven Field Service Technician based in Pennsylvania. If you thrive on solving problems, traveling, and being the expert customers rely on, this role puts you at the center of the action. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy hands-on work, travel, and direct customer interaction.
FLSA Status - Non Exempt - Hourly
Reports to: VP of Sales & Marketing
Role Responsibilities
  • Perform PlateCheckโ„ข and tubular heat exchanger inspections
  • Execute repairs, troubleshooting, and installation supervision
  • Conduct on-site customer training
  • Travel >15 days/month (including some weekends)
  • Maintain detailed plant folders, documentation, and follow-up communication
  • Collaborate with AGC Sales Engineers on upcoming service needs
  • Submit accurate service reports within 48 hours
  • Mentor new technicians as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a traveling technician
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and tool experience
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • Proficiency with Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Experience
  • Maintenance background
  • Dairy/food manufacturing experience
  • Plate heat exchanger knowledge
  • Military service
