Summary: Entry-level technician focused on safe installation, preventive maintenance, and assisting senior technicians while developing proficiency on Kelvion heat exchanger equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with installation, startup and commissioning of Kelvion heat exchanger equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections using Kelvion procedures.
- Assist with repair of Air Fin Coolers including fan blades, bearings, belts, motors and gearbox components.
- Assist with repair of Dry Coolers including EC fans, motors, coils and hydronic components.
- Assist with Plate Heat Exchanger disassembly, plate cleaning, gasket replacement, inspection and reassembly.
- Read mechanical drawings and work instructions.
- Complete electronic service reports and photo documentation.
- Maintain professional customer communication.
- Comply with OSHA, LOTO, PPE, JHA and customer safety requirements.
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles.
- Travel to customer sites as required.

PRODUCT SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Air Fin Coolers: fan blades, bearings, belts, gearboxes and lubrication.
- Dry Coolers: EC fans, motors, coils, glycol systems and sensors.
- Plate Heat Exchangers: plate identification, gasket replacement, cleaning, frame inspection and leak identification.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic industrial electrical knowledge.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
- Basic Microsoft Office and Outlook skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Teamwork and problem-solving.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree, trade school, military technical training or equivalent experience.
- 0โ2 years of industrial maintenance, HVAC, mechanical or field service experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain Passport and TWIC card.
- Ability to travel up to 80%.

CAREER PROGRESSION
- Demonstrate proficiency in safety, preventive maintenance, customer communication and basic troubleshooting to advance to Field Service Technician II.
