Position Details
  • Location: Halifax, PA
  • Starting Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
  • Shift Details: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday – Thursday)
Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join our Stoves Business Unit in Halifax, PA. We are the nation’s leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. Headquartered in Lakeville, Minnesota, with distribution around the world, our innovative approach is supported by a business unit structure that allows us to develop and market products with a strong focus on customers’ needs. Since 1996, we have been dedicated to connecting people through the warmth and comfort of our hearth products.  
As one of our four core business units, the Stoves Business Unit brings together top brands such as Harman, Vermont Castings, and Quadra-Fire, now united under one as Forge & Flame, alongside other stove brands. This unit focuses on delivering high-quality, reliable stove solutions, including wood, pellet, and gas models.   
Hearth & Home Technologies believes in the power of Lean Manufacturing. Our QA Techs work within a team-driven environment to assess quality problems and recommend corrective actions to ensure manufacturing goes smoothly.
 
Roles & Responsibilities
Our QA Techs are responsible for appraising quality problems and recommending and implementing corrective actions based on analysis of statistical data. QA Techs conduct statistical studies on processes, and work closely with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering and factory managers to develop methods to achieve quality goals.
  • Monitor production quality through finished goods audits
  • Monitor incoming purchased parts through inspection and testing
  • Monitor receiving program and work with suppliers regarding quality problems
  • Monitor New Product Introductions and conduct quality audits, testing and documentation review.  
  • Perform Finished goods audits and consumer audits including visually inspecting fit/form/function and checking accessories fit-up.
