Program Details-

The BHI Internship Program is an 11.5-week cohort experience designed to provide students with project-based, hands-on learning within a department aligned with their current field of study. Interns gain practical experience while contributing to meaningful work that supports organizational goals.

Throughout the program, interns participate in professional development opportunities, including CliftonStrengths workshops and engagement with members of BHI’s executive leadership team. The program is structured to support a healthy school–work balance, with flexible scheduling that accommodates academic commitments.


The Health Informatics Intern will focus on:


-Data Analytics – including Competitive Workflow Analysis
-Development of Admission Refresh Training Curriculum
-Development of Onboarding Training Curriculum
-Clinical and Interdisciplinary Workflow Comparisons
-Data Extraction
-Forms configuration in Electronic Health Record
-Assist with Electronic Health Record Implementations
-Assist with EHR Integration Implementations (CareQuality/CareConnect)
-Research the requirements of the CURES Act and develop a roadmap for electronic protected health information and potential “direct to patient” functionality.
-Creation of Clinical Workflow Guides
-Research – identify best practice recommendations for senior living/long term care.


Who You Are:


-Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics or related degree.
-Passion for caring for seniors with industry interest.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills.
-Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.


Preferred: Nursing or clinical experience
