Job description

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to assess, maintain, and support a multi-site technology environment, including hardware, software, systems, and technology initiatives. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable technology operations, providing end-user support, maintaining asset inventory, supporting technology projects, and helping users maximize available technology solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Technology Assessment & Planning

  • Evaluate organizational needs for hardware, software, systems, and technology projects.
  • Monitor current and upcoming technology initiatives, issues, risks, and action items.
  • Assist with planning and supporting technology-related projects and upgrades.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide technical support for applications, hardware, and system-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and upgrade computer systems, peripherals, and software.
  • Support users with computers, mobile devices, phones, inventory systems, and business applications.
  • Research technical issues and implement appropriate solutions.

Systems Administration & Asset Management

  • Document, maintain, upgrade, and replace hardware and software as needed.
  • Maintain accurate technology asset inventory records.
  • Support device lifecycle management, refresh, and deployment activities.
  • Assist with system maintenance and operational improvements.

Procurement & Security

  • Recommend and support the procurement of technology equipment and related resources.
  • Maintain and support security controls across systems and software platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with established IT policies and procedures.

User Support & Communication

  • Advise users on technology solutions that support business needs.
  • Create clear and professional communications regarding technology updates, issues, and resolutions.
  • Develop user-friendly technical documentation, processes, and instructions.
  • Meet with stakeholders to gather requirements, discuss technical solutions, and provide status updates.

Issue Management & Escalation

  • Escalate critical incidents, outages, and security concerns to appropriate technical teams.
  • Track and manage incidents, service requests, and change activities through resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to address complex technical issues.

Additional Preferred Experience

  • Supporting office relocations, including structured cabling, network equipment, server moves, and telephone setup.
  • Assisting with Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementations or other enterprise application deployments.


Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in IT support, technical support, service desk, or desktop support environments.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including Incident, Change, Service Request, and Asset Management.
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, and end-user technology issues.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience leading meetings and configuring audio/visual equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to create clear user communications and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to gather information, analyze technical issues, and provide effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting PC refresh, device deployment, or large-scale hardware lifecycle projects.
  • Experience coordinating office moves, technology relocations, or infrastructure setup projects.
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Experience with healthcare technology environments, including EHR systems.
