How much do drph jobs pay per hour?
What is a DrPH?
A Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) job typically involves leadership, policy-making, program management, and applied research in public health. DrPH professionals work in government agencies, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and academia to develop and implement health policies and programs. They may hold roles such as public health director, health policy advisor, or epidemiologist, focusing on community health improvements. Unlike a PhD, which is research-intensive, a DrPH emphasizes practical applications in public health leadership.
What types of projects and teams does a DrPH typically work with?
As a DrPH professional, you will often lead or collaborate on multidisciplinary teams working on community health programs, policy development, or research initiatives. These projects may involve close coordination with government agencies, healthcare organizations, academic partners, and community stakeholders. Your responsibilities could range from designing and evaluating public health interventions to advocating for policy changes or managing public health campaigns. Working in this role provides opportunities to influence large-scale health outcomes and contribute to impactful, evidence-based solutions. Teamwork and cross-sector collaboration are integral parts of the daily work environment, enabling you to drive meaningful changes in public health.

Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills distinguish top candidates in this role. These competencies are crucial for leading public health initiatives, shaping policy, and improving community health outcomes.

Job description
The Associate Professor's primary role is to teach in their areas of expertise, maintain the integrity of course and instructional programs, and to ensure that their delivery is in alignment with the University mission and vision for the student experience. As such, faculty are responsible for creating an academic atmosphere of mutual respect and consideration for individual dignity. Faculty members may be asked to aid in the development of curriculum in the residential and distance education environments, as well as engage in research/scholarship or creative activity that varies depending upon the expectations of their respective college or school and any additional activities involving service to students and their professional discipline.
Faculty attain the rank of Associate Professor based upon scholarly and professional achievements subsequent to attaining the rank of assistant professor. An earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution in an area relevant to the faculty member's area of teaching or a terminal professional master's degree or evidence of outstanding contributions in the faculty member's professional or academic field (e.g., as recognized by one's peers, nationally) is required.
Associate Professors are contracted for 10, 11, or 12 months (24, 27, or 30 load hours, respectively). Release from contracted teaching load is determined each semester by the Dean, per the Liberty University Faculty Handbook.
