In this senior leadership role of Technical Manager, Risk Assessment, you'll provide strategic technical and financial oversight within Enbridge Gas Distribution's Risk Framework, helping Integrity and Risk teams make smart, riskinformed decisions across Canada and the U.S. By combining deep technical expertise with mentorship and collaborator influence, you'll play a critical role in advancing our core values of Safety, Integrity, and Reliability-every day.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead the integration of quantitative risk assessments for the Integrity programs within Enbridge GDS. This will include developing recommendations for the most efficient approach to modeling, risk ranking, and interpretation of the results to drive risk-informed decision making with Risk partners.

  • Ensure Risk strategies and assessments are aligned with applicable regulatory requirements and are understood by internal and external interested parties.

  • Translate technical risk insights into actionable recommendations for partners to develop prioritized mitigation plans, capital investment strategies, and maintenance programs.

  • Develop a strategy for using analytics, machine learning, and digital tools to improve threat identification, risk ranking, and performance tracking.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers and analysts through formal and informal opportunities.

  • Cultivate relationships with executive and non-technical collaborators through engagement meetings, presentations, and decision records.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.

  • 8-10+ years of directly related experience (Integrity, Risk, and/or Operations), including progressive managerial experience.

  • For Canadian candidates, registered member with PEO as P. Eng in the Province of Ontario. For U.S. candidates, PE is not required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills - ability to understand and communicate complex concepts in simple terms.

  • Strategy setting experience in the Energy industry.

  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and respond to technical and/or financial inquiries and changes.

  • Ability to effectively develop detailed knowledge of codes and standards, regulations, materials, and company policies, procedures and practices.

  • A Masters or a Doctorate degree is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Work covers all Enbridge Gas integrity assets.

  • Office environment with frequent travel for field visits, conferences, Company offices, etc. (<30%). Valid passport is required.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Salary:

  • Ranges from $150,000 - $200,000 USD for US locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Ranges from $150,000 - $200,000 CAD for Ontario Canada locations based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.

  • Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.
