Qualifications you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthrelated field. Advanced degree preferred: MPH, MBA, or a master's degree in health promotion, public health, health education, business, or another related field.
  • Registered nurse, registered dietitian or nutritionist, health educator, or other certified health care designations such as CHES/MCHES preferred.
  • Certification as a group fitness instructor or personal trainer preferred.

Minimum Experience

  • At least 3 years of equivalent experience in health education, public health, or another related health or business field.
  • Ideal candidate will have previous experience developing, implementing, and evaluating public health programming and interventions, with familiarity in strategic planning and data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply evidencebased best practices and consumer research to develop, implement, and evaluate engaging health promotion programs.
  • Working knowledge of behavior change theory and application.
  • Ability to leverage and analyze data to make informed recommendations.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in stressful situations when interacting with customers, members, employers, brokers, vendors, and staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write communications, analyses, and reports for external customers.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and strong judgment in all interactions.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Travel within the MVP service area required (must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license).
  • Occasional early mornings or late evenings may be required.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Develop meaningful and impactful programs and interventions for MVP's key customer populations, aligned with customer goals and objectives. Consideration must be given to the varying needs of different customer groups, including socioeconomic factors, SDOH, and health equity.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customer leadership to support wellness strategy, goal setting, and execution.
  • Leverage Customer Insights analytics to identify priority areas and inform program development.
  • Cultivate wellness and wellbeing programming that aligns with key customer focus areas, strategically addressing the greatest needs within each customer population.
  • Leverage internal and external resources and partnerships to deliver on customer wellness strategies. Develop new partnerships when needed to advance efforts.
  • Apply evidencebased best practices, public health expertise, and strong project management skills to support the wellness needs of MVP's key customers and the communities they serve.
