This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am - 5pm PST. Based on business needs, employees may also be required to work outside of these hours and include weekend shifts.

This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be during normal business hours.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate a work team while maintaining high standards.
  • Respond to all authorization documents received and provide feedback to address. processing issues.
  • Respond to provider inquiries that have been received by the escalation and case resolution department.
  • Research and verify information provided on authorization documents.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 3+ years of experience working in Health Information Management setting
  • 2+ years of experience working as a team lead, supervisor, or manager in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to other facilities in Bakersfield, CA, as needed
  • Ability to work onsite at Mercy Medical Center, 2740 M St Merced, CA 95340
  • Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm PST, Monday - Friday. Based on business needs, employees may also be required to work outside of these hours and include weekend shifts

   

Preferred Qualifications

  • RHIT or RHIA certifications
  • Experience supervising employees

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $49,700 - $88,800 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
